A Victorian Christmas with all the trimmings! Started in 1984, it is part of Department 56's Heritage Village Collection. The lit porcelain houses, unlike the solid ceramic houses of the Snow Village, glow from within and created a huge buzz in the Christmas Village world. This village captures the quaint English atmosphere of author Charles Dickens' time. The Village was introduced with houses from Dickens' books: The Cottage of Bob Cratchit & Tiny Tim, The Old Curiosity Shop, Nicholas Nickleby, David Copperfield and Oliver Twist.
